New and Improved
Enlighten Trays
We have been busy improving our trays by making 2 key changes. Tried and tested and ready to be used! We are confident you and your patients will be delighted with the results.
Going forward all Enlighten trays will be produced in this way, unless you specify otherwise in the special instructions section of the website.
What are these changes you may be asking? Let us fill you in!
- We have incorporated (optional) retention attachment templates on first molars. Use the attachments for extra posterior retention whenever the tray displaces easily posteriorly. We strongly advise using them with printed models from digital scans and for bruxists.
Etch (and bond), use flowable composite in the attachment as you would with clear aligners. Show the patient how to “click” the trays in place. Remove the attachments and polish on the last visit.
- All trays will be finished to the first molars, they will not extend to the second molars.
This is due to the large number of distortions in both impressions and scans in this area. This also reduces high levering forces which displace the tray. We have seen no problems with over eruption or any other occlusal problems.
